FAQ

Question: What is ID COACH™?

Answer: The ID COACH™ system applies the latest technology in secure wireless communications to popular games like football and soccer. ID COACH™, in its simplest form, is composed of a handheld Personal Remote Terminal (PRT) unit closely resembling a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), and Wristband Units containing a small display. The system allows coaches to wirelessly communicate plays, from the PRT to the wristbands. The plays are displayed in graphical format with text, eliminating the use of hand signals or audio transmitters.

Question: How can I use ID COACH™ other than Game Day play calling?

Answer: ID COACH™ can be used for TRAINING. ID COACH™ significantly reduces the learning curve, allowing new players to be up-to-date with new playbooks immediately. With ID COACH™ your players will spend more time training and less time learning long playbooks.

Question: Is the system for Quaterbacks only? Can other players wear it during training or the game?

Answer: ID COACH™ can be used by the Quaterback and by the rest of the team. The Team version of ID COACH™ allows the coach to define Teams within the roster and players will receive instructions about the play called and directions to enter or leave the field. The system is an excellent TRAINING companion tool, allowing players to exercise a full playbook as they focus more on performing the plays and less on memorizing them.

Question: How secure is the ID COACH™ wireless transmission?

Answer: Coaches can have high confidence in the privacy of the message as ID COACH™ uses a 128 bit military grade encrypted wireless link that is virtually impenetrable during the course of a game.

Question: What if a wristband is “misplaced” during the game? Can the opposite team see all the play calls?

Answer: When a wristband is misplaced, the coach can immediately eliminate the wristband from the roster in the PRT. Once eliminated, the wristband will not receive any additional play calls.

Question: What if a misplaced wristband is found after it was eliminated from the team roster?

Answer: When a wristband is found, a coach may use the PRT to immediately restore the found wristband to the team’s roster.  .

Question: Football is a contact sport where players tumble, roll in the grass and collide with each other. Is the wristband strong enough to survive this tough environment?

Answer: ID COACH™ electronics are encased in a sturdy, resilient material that has passed severe shock testing. Additionally the electronics are embedded within padding giving an additional layer of protection to the LCD, as well as to the players.

Question: How do I draw the plays?

Answer: ID COACH™ system includes a very simple to use software, that allows any person to draw plays after 5 minutes of training.

Question: Does the software provide any sample playbooks?

Answer: Yes, ID COACH™ system comes with many ready to use playbooks, including special offense and defense playbooks for TRAINING sessions.

Question: Can I modify the sample playbooks?

Answer: Yes, ID COACH™ Sample playbooks are open. You can modify, add and delete plays and use them at game day or for training.
